We are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year as we continue the work of empowering learning communities and helping children and families access the tools they need to thrive! In honor of our special year, we’ll be looking back at LAEP milestone moments that have helped us achieve impact and equity.
Milestone Moment: in 2019, LAEP received a $10.2M grant from the Department of Health & Human Services Office of Head Start to provide Early Head Start services in Inglewood. We continue to expand those services and are proud to highlight that in our last year, 85% of children in the Early Head Start program met or exceeded developmental benchmarks in each learning domain after one year in the program.
