Urban Science : The Living Environment
UCLA Science Project

The Project works with clusters and districts to support teachers as they develop their own science instructional expertise and strengthen their school, cluster, and district science programs.

The pre-requisite for this course "Organizing Your Curriculum" (formerly called "An Introduction To Effective Science Instruction") is listed in a separate brochure. This four-day program from (month--) helps participants select and organize appropriate concepts and curricula.

The (month) institute gives participants an intensive exposure to science content and practice, and teaching strategies aligned to current standards and frameworks.

Participants pilot newly learned expertise during the following year, tracking their progress.

The program culminates in the following (month), when participants share their successes with other UCLA Science Project associates at the Annual Sharathon.

Institute Activities
