Rhus ovata from the sumac family. It is an evergreen 5-15' tall with thick, ovate shaped, leathery leaves. Leaves are folded slightly and are smooth edged. its waxy, reddish fruit is covered with hairs and its pinkish-white flowers occur in clusters.
