Flowering Chamise




This is Chamise also known as Greasewood. It is from the Rose or Rosaceae family. Its scientific name is Adenostoma fasciulatum. It is an evergreen shrub that grows from 2-15 feet in height. It has small 1/4' needle-like leaves and small white flowers. It is a dominant plant in many chaparral communities.
