We had LACC work on the dirt.We added soil, fertilizer, and spent a lot of time preparing the areasfor cultivation. LACC and H.V.'s class helped us with planting the grass.It was a tremendous amount of work! But, look at our results!  The birdbath was very generously donated by V.H., our garden organizer,who was instrumental in implementation of the Butterflies In the City project!  Here are some of our planter boxes in progress.
