Jefferson HS Project InquiryStudent Investigations Objective: Students develop theirown investigations involving birds on the school campus. They presenttheir findings and additional research as part of a web site. Studentslink their investigations and research with other student groups to createa sense of scientific community.Procedure: Students couldchoose any investigation that involved birds on the inner-city campus whichinvolved the collection of quantitative data. They also chose onetopic, preferably related to their project, to research, such as informationabout house sparrows or bird feeder designs. After completion oftheir investigation and research, they create web pages, linking theirpages to each other's pages.
