School Leadership Institute

The Partnership's School Leadership Institute trains and mentors potential school principals and those interested in other school and district leadership positions.

In collaboration with the Los Angeles Business Advisors (LABA), the Duarte Unified School District, Institute for Educational Advancement and the U.S. Army War College, the partnership has adopted a program strategy designed to enable education leaders to shift away from task-oriented thinking to strategic leadership thinking and planning.

Candidates learn strategic and organizational skills as outlined in the California Standards for Educational Leadership as well as the values, ethics and attributes of effective leadership.
