Early Childhood
Early Childhood Initiatives in the northeastern San Fernando Valley and in South Los Angeles holistically prepare children ages 0 to 5 in low-income families to become successful students when they enter school by working with children directly; by educating parents in child development, parenting and literacy skills, home safety and child health; and by providing resources to eliminate barriers to success. More than 1,250 children and their families participate in various Early Childhood initiatives annually.
