  • What was the justification behind slavery?
  • To what conditions were African-American slaves subjected?
  • Can these conditions re-exist in our present society?  If so, under what circumstances? Explain why or why not.
  • Is there a relationship or similarity between the Afro-American slave trade and what is happening in factories of third world countries? (e.g., garment industry, farm workers, etc.) Explain why or why not.
