- To understands the role of didactics as part of the museum experience, critique existing didactics and write an artwork specific didactic for Cliff Dwellers, 1913" by George Wesley Bellows.
Unit Culminating Assessment:
- Students will have gained and understanding of museum didactics; their purpose and meaning.
- Students will be able to analyze a painting and share knowledgeable information with others.
- Through their own writing of a didactic, students will establish truth and validity based on specific facts and data of what was learned regarding a work of art and present it to a classroom audience.
Time Allotment:
5 days museum visit or on-line museum visit
