THE 1996-1997 TOYOTA INNOVATION GRANTS in Mathematics and Science provided $82,297 in support of 168 classroom projects. Providing direct support for 168 innovative classroom projects, this years Toyota grants engage 386 teachers and will impact the classroom experiences of more than 17,500 students.

The Toyota Innovation Grants provide support for effective instructional efforts, promote high levels of student achievement, and encourage implementation of mathematics and science standards.

Since 1990, the Toyota USA Foundation has provided nearly $700,000 in Innovation Grants to more than 1,900 mathematics and science teachers and their more than 100,000 students.
