Principal for a Day Call to Action Entertainment Industry Foundation sponsors special event to promote involvement in and support for public schools Principal for a Day requires no commitment beyond your visit to your assigned school. Our hope, however, is that you will be excited by your experience and decide to get involved in the effort to support and improve public schools in Los Angeles. The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) hopes that Principal For a Day will serve as a catalyst to focus the energy and expertise of the entertainment industry on the challenges facing public schools. We ask that you work with EIF, the Los Angeles Educational Partnership (LAEP), and the Los Angeles Unified School District to develop and support effective programs and partnerships that can help to improve student achievement. LAEP will be working to foster and coordinate effective follow-up activities. For assistance, contact Dianne Glinos at LAEP at (213) 622-5237. Companies and individuals considering further involvement may want to focus their efforts in areas of significant need where a company or individual could make an immediate impact. These areas include Literacy, Teacher Development, The Arts, Technology and After School Programs. We also offer the following specific opportunities for your immediate participation. Additional suggestions and ideas for effective involvement and support are welcome.
