LAEP, Scantron Form Partnership for Education

SCANTRON QUALITY COMPUTERS the Internet's premier educational software source has partnered with the Los Angeles Educational Partnership (LAEP) to provide an online catalog of educational software and hardware at this Web site.

By clicking on "Store" at the top left of the Learning Exchange's Main Page you can select your favorite software and hardware from Scantron's online catalog at discounted prices. The new alliance strengthens LAEP's committment to offer access to educational software and other technology products related to education.

Learning Exchange Store at Scantron "A combination of the opportunity to attract new financial resources and the ability to offer direct access to quality technology products for members of the learning community made a lot of sense," said Robert Coontz, director of finance and development for LAEP. "Scantron presented us with an appropriate opportunity for participation in our first 'cause-related' marketing partnership." Those browsing LAEP’s Learning Exchange Web site (www.lalc.k12.ca.us) can link directly to Scantron Quality Computers’ Web site and purchase from a comprehensive list of educational software titles on the market today. In addition, SQC offers hardware products and peripherals.

"This is an alliance that works for all parties involved," said Mike Sottrel, vice president of Scantron Quality Computers. "The Internet has opened doors to create alliances between industry and education and this is only the beginning."

The LAEP was established in 1984 as a nonprofit public education fund to support improvement in public education.
