Leadership Teams of teachers in four geographic regions meet monthly to plan teacher-led professional development in science and Complex-wide articulation projects. Annually, four Explorations workshop series open to all LAUSD teachers provide content and teaching strategies, as well as materials to implement the activities with students. Additional offerings of Target Science include Science Classroom Demonstrations, which let teachers visit classrooms to observe exemplary science instruction; specially designed on-site professional development to meet an individual school's science needs is available upon request and a fee for service basis; and the Target Science web site on LALCNet which provides a science calendar, resources, inquiry-based lessons, and interactive student experiments.
