The Night Sky Show is a 45-minute interactive presentation on the ever-changing night sky, with the latest in astronomy and space exploration news. The Feature Show covers special topics ranging from comets to newly discovered planets to the solar system's volcanoes. 2) The SMC Speakers Bureau provides speakers for classroom or adult presentations on a wide range of topics. 3) The Los Angeles Collaborative for Teacher Excellence is a new program that encourages college students, particularly under-represented minorities, to become math and science teachers. The project involves interaction between SMC students and pupils from elementary and high schools.
