| 4401 Sunset Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90027 323-953-5309 FAX 323-953-5601 Email: mitch_aiken@kcet.pbs.org | KCET's Mathline Program consists of the PBS Mathline Middle School Project, a professional development program for math teachers of grades 5-8 that uses on-line communications, and the PBS Elementary School Math Project, an online professional development project for K-5 teachers. Both provide an understanding of NCTM standards, a national support network from over 4,000 educators, home or school on-line access, and professional experience using distance education and telecommunications. Participants must have access to a computer, modem, phone line, and VCR and spend at least 2 hours on-line each week. Participants receive 25 video lessons, software, curriculum materials, technical support, and a user account. The registration deadline is in September, the program runs from September to June, the cost is $500/participant, and university semester credit can be arranged.
