| 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez Monetery Park, CA 91754 323-265-8614 323-265-8603 FAX 323-733-3141 | Through courses, workshops, field trips, and a leadership conference, this school-based program addresses the national need to increase both the pool of minority applicants to mathematics-based university programs and the number of well-trained mathematics instructors at inner-city elementary, middle, and high schools. These activities refine and develop the highly successful Jaime Escalante Math and Science Program at East Los Angeles College, a model program that successfully trains large numbers of inner-city minority students to pass the Advanced Placement Calculus exam. Each year, over 500 students participate in a high intensity summer math program and an academic year program held on Saturdays. Eligibility: Current participating schools.
