CEEMaST's purposes are to promote the professional development of teachers of mathematics, science, and technology; improve the teaching and learning of science and mathematics at all levels; and promote the study of science and mathematics by all students, with a particular outreach to females and minority group members. To fulfill these purposes CEEMaST conducts workshops and conferences for teachers of science, mathematics, and technology; assists schools in identifying and solving problems related to instruction and curricula in science, mathematics, and technology education; runs the San Gabriel Valley-California Mathematics Project (SGV-CaMP); conducts an annual conference on mathematics, science, and technology for K-12 teachers; and conducts funded projects.
