The association provides teachers, administrators, program directors, and consultants from kindergarten through university level with current information on science education, classroom strategies, resources, and inservice opportunities, and serves as a central coordination point for regional science organizations and other science education projects throughout California for emphasizing the importance of science education. CSTA publishes a newsletter, "California Classroom Science," which reaches a circulation of over 20,000 people five times per year, and a quarterly magazine, "The CSTA Journal." The association conducts an annual conference. CSTA membership dues are $30 annually.
