The California Science Project - USC is a joint initiative between the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology (CCMB) in the University of Southern California's School of Dentistry, LA-SI, California Science Center, Natural History Museum, the California Museum of Science and Industry (CMSI), and NASA/JPL Project Endeavour. Its purpose is to develop a leadership cohort of science educators charged with exploring the following questions: What is the broadest definition of leadership and how do we nurture science leaders at all levels? What is the mechanism for uniting inquiry and constructivism with science content? How can CSP leaders reach out to the larger community? How can we create a professional home for teachers? How can the CSP Leadership Cohort assist stakeholders in translating the new national Science Standards and Benchmarks into excellent science education for all students?
