The spcaLA acts as an advocate on behalf of animals and an enforcer of their rights; provides for the well-being of animals that are abandoned, injured, subjected to unfair and/or cruel treatment, or otherwise in need; cultivates public awareness of the animals whose world we share; promotes a bond of mutual assistance between people and animals; and instills respect for and appreciation of all living things. The goal of our interactive Humane Education presentations is to teach respect and compassion for all living things, while other presentations focus on reponsible animal care and dog bite prevention. Shelter tours, career presentations, and teacher training are also available.
