In an increasingly saturated media culture, creative and critical responses to commercial influence are vital. An important task of education is to assist students with the developement of an active awareness of media influence. In the project Media Symbols, students creatively combine media images they have chosen with considered personal responses to these images. The results are visual reflections, subversions and additions to our contemporary media landscape. |
