Curandera

by Calvin

The painting of the Curandera is filled with organic and magical symbolism. This is a magical kind of picture. There are unrealistic images. The symbol with the face with wings has a cross on its face. The ill person kneeling on the ground is green and she is crying. The plants are different colors and they are growing in her body. The large thing lying on the ground is shaped like a person. You can see the mouth the eyes and a little bit of the body. There are three hearts with faces in them. There are diamonds falling and they are in the air.

There are flowers and hearts in the Curandera. There are diamonds and I think they represent her powers. The hearts in her body represent how she loves other people. That is why she heals them. The face with wings looks like an Angel. The person that she is healing is crying. This person represents a person needing help and she is giving her help. The colors are bright. There are eyes in the background. It looks like she cares for the people she is healing. She probably has a bound with them. I found different pictures. There is a lady trying to heal someone. There are flowers and hearts in the Curandera. The figure under Curandera represent life and the powers she has. The people in her body shows the love that she has. The face with wings looks like it's watching and making sure she does a good job. Maybe, it's there to make sure everything is going right.

The images have all different meanings so all the images represent something and it all revolves around the Curandera.
