Curandera

by Calvin

In the panting called "Curandera," painted by ArieI have found some symbols. For example, I have found three large hearts with faces within the Curandera's body and head. Plants and flowers are coming out the Curandera's body. Diamond shapes objects are coming out of the Curandera's hands. A hovering face with wings floats above the Curandera. There's a small green figure that's on his knee and is crying beneath the Curandera's hands. I also found a lot of plants coming out from a large figure lying underground.

Every symbol has a meaning or represents something. The three large hearts within the Curandera's body and head represent all the people she care for and cured. The plants and flowers coming out the Curandera's body means that she is a Curandera and all her medicine are made by plants. The painting is filled with diamond shaped objects represents all her magic. The hovering face with wings represents the Curandera's spirit. The small figure beneath the Curandera's hand represents a sick person that's asking for the Curandera's help. The large figure lying underground beneath the Curandera represents that her magic came mostly from the plants and that she comes from plants roots.

The symbolism in this painting is really important because it helps you understand the meaning of each symbol and what each symbol represents.
