Curandera

by Alberto

In the "Curandera" I saw lots of symbols. First I saw diamonds. The diamonds are all over the picture, but there are more in the part on the top. The diamonds are white, yellow, red, and blue. I also saw a head with wings that was in front of the curandera. I saw some eyes. The eyes were in the top left corner. The eyes were blue and white. Another symbol I saw are some plants. The plants are colorful. They are green, red, yellow, blue and red. Another symbol I saw is a boy with tears. The boy is green and white and he has tears on its face. The symbol in the bottom are like roots. The roots are the roots for the plants growing on her body.

The diamonds represent the healing of a person. She's making them well because some of the diamonds are falling in top of that boy. The eyes are watching everything she does. The head with wings is representing the curandera's owl. The plants represent the curandera because she saves people with the plants. That boy with tears in his face represent la curandera helping him get well. The thing that is connected under ground means that the curandera helps the sick people get well with plants. That also represents all the plants growing out her body.

These symbols are important because they help us understand everything that happens in the story. These symbols represent some different meaning for everything.
