Poor and Minority Students
Lack Access to Technology

ACCESS TO COMPUTERS with the training and opportunity to use them is rapidly becoming the new educational equity issue. Will poor and minority students get stuck in the slow lane of the information superhighway?

A recent report by the Educational Testing Service shows that the nation's poor and minority students are already falling behind their counterparts in wealthier schools. Computers and Classrooms: The Status of Technology in the US Schools reveals a persistent pattern of inequity in access to technology in American Schools.
