Mission to Mars

NASA's MARS PATHFINDER spacecraft will touch down on the red planet this summer to begin a series of scientific investigations. In conjunction with the Target Science teacher network, LAUSD schools have planned various family science activities to coincide with the July 4 landing.

You can learn more about the Mars landing by visiting the Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Mars Pathfinder Mission page.

If you are a K-12 teacher and are interested in learning more about the red planet, you may submit an application to attend a JPL Mars workshop.
