LBUSD: A Profile
of Reform

THE LONG BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT is taking action to set and attain higher standards for all of its schools, staff, and students.

To assure mastery of reading and writing and to increase other academic skills, the District is pursuing five ambitious initiatives designed to improve education. Three initiatives are focused on student achievement and two others are designed to improve the learning environment on campus through improved dress and conduct.

Take a closer look at LBUSD's five initiatives and see why the District recently received the prestigious Golden Bell Award for its work.
