Parents Become Partners in Learning

A $4.8 MILLION GRANT FROM THE WEINGART FOUNDATION will fund a project that will help schools and parents work together to improve student achievement in the Los Angeles and Long Beach Unified School Districts.

A collaborative effort of the Los Angeles Annenberg Metropolitan Project (LAAMP), Los Angeles Educational Alliance for Restructuring Now (LEARN) and the Los Angeles and Long Beach Unified School Districts, the project will engage educators and parents in efforts to increase opportunities for effective parental participation and will create a contemporary model for parental involvement in school communities.
