Career Academies
The Partnership’s Career Academies operate as small learning communities in seven high-need high schools, providing nearly 2,100 students with a rigorous college-prep education and industry-themed learning experiences in finance or hospitality and tourism. In their years in an Academy, students benefit from paid work experiences related to their academy’s theme, job-site visits, college planning seminars, a college-level course at University of Southern California for finance students, college scholarships and more. Academy teachers receive professional development related to their industry focus, as well as topics relevant to small learning communities.
