Augmenting Lists

  1. Select one person in the group to have the "master" calculator. This is the calculator that will receive each list, augment it on and continue until all lists are linked within the group. That person (the group leader) will link with the "teacher" calculator, you will augment each group's and then link back the master list (WHOLE NBA).

  2. The demo graphs below are some simple lists. I show the students how to do this using the overhead panel so they can watch as we go.
The "master" calculator has data in L1. This is the list that we will keep adding to. This is another calculator. We want to augment this list to the "master" calculator.  Transfer L1 over to L2 by highlighting L2 and calling it L1. You have now copied that list over to L2.
The second calculator will link over L2 into L2 of the "master" calculator.  The second calculator linking over the list. The "master" calculator is ready to receive the list. Linking is finished.
View the List Editor of the "master" and you see the two lists.  To AUGMENT, press 2nd STAT and arrow over to OPS. Arrow down (or up) until you see the Augment command. We want L2 added to the bottom of L1 and the restored into L1.

View the List Editor of the "master" and see that the new list has been added to the bottom of L1. Repeat the process until everything that you want is added to the list. You can press 2nd ENTER to bring up old commands to save keystrokes.
