What's My Line
Overview: This activity is for students enrolled in an Algebra 1 mathematics class or above. Students should have some knowledge of descriptive statistics and be able to use the TI-83 graphing calculator and the Calculator Based Ranger (CBR).
Materials Needed:
Teacher Preparation:
- Basic directions for the CBR are enclosed with the units. *****link to TI site and getting started with the CBR*****
- It is important that you demonstrate data collection with the CBR for the students. Ask them questions of the different graphs that are created.
- Students should have enough room to be able to walk in a clear path. Sometimes you will have to allow student pairs to go in the hallway outside the classroom to complete the data collection.
- If you have a computer in your classroom with the TI-Graph Link, students can print their screenshots and paste them onto the lab sheet instead of sketching on the graph.
