Excellence Awards 2001:
Applications Now Available

Focusing public education on excellence in Los Angeles public schools, the Los Angeles Educational Partnership (LAEP) will honor outstanding teaching teams, schools and school communities next spring in the third annual LAEP Excellence Awards. The awards recognize and reward the effective efforts of educators and community members and promote educational practices that can improve student learning.

Recipients of the LAEP Excellence Awards are selected based on their proven effectiveness with students and their excellent practices used in the classroom, at the school site, or in the community. Award winners are selected from those applicants who best exemplify the California Standards for the Teaching Profession and can document student progress and achievement.
