Stage Set for “Principal for a Day” 2000

THE STAGE IS SET FOR SOME of Hollywood's leading executives, agents, producers, actors, writers and directors to take on a challenging new role as "Principal for a Day" in a Los Angeles public school on Thursday March 30. Members of the entertainment industry will join with other Los Angeles business, education and community leaders in a "hands-on" experience designed to provide a lesson in what public schools are really like and encourage support for public education.

Working with real school principals, participants will have the opportunity to try out some of the daily tasks of running a school such as taking attendance, teaching a class, supervising lunch or taking part in faculty meetings. They'll also get the opportunity to meet with teachers, administrators, students and parents to talk with them about their school.
